5 Ways to Trick Yourself into Drinking More Water

Facts about waterAs we explored in a recent post titled “6 Simple Ways to Spice Up Your Water,” many people find it difficult to meet the recommended daily dose of eight tall glasses of water.  While taste (or the lack thereof) is the issue for some people, others find that they simply “get full” or feel like they can’t possibly drink any more water.  Luckily, we know a few tips that will help you stay hydrated without that bloated feeling:

  1. Purchase a larger-than-average water bottle and try to keep it with you at all times.  You’ll end up drinking water when you’re bored or distracted, such as when you’re waiting in line at the check-out, driving in the car, etc.

Work water into your daily routine, like when you’re getting ready in the morning and when you’re getting ready for bed.  For example, get in the habit of drinking a glass of water right after you get out of the shower, or right before you wash your face at night.  This is an easy way to add at least two glasses of water a day to your routine.
  3.
